This camp offers continuity and continuation during the summer months.  Players that attend
this camp will train twice a week, for eight straight weeks, on and off the ice.  Every on ice
session will include power skating with and without the puck, conditioning, skill building drills,
and tactics.

Power skating
Power skating with and without the puck and conditioning will be an integral part of this
particular camp.  Stride technique – including length, balance, and recovery will help players
develop a full stride for maximum power and stability with each push.  Skating dynamics such as
crossing over/under, explosive starts, stopping, turning, edge work, and overall speed
development are a priority during the power skating portion of this particular camp.

Skill development and tactical approach
We provide in depth coverage of the essential skills shooting, stick handling, passing, and
checking Game situational concepts such as angling, puck protection, spatial awareness, 1-1
maneuvers, gap control, cycling, defensive zone coverage, providing puck support, and playing
without the puck are a few of the numerous tactical concepts covered at this camp.

Off-ice Training
Off ice training will focus on full body power, endurance, and explosiveness.
Plyometric, sprint interval, and core training will increase a player’s speed, balance, and
quickness on the ice.  This week of off-ice conditioning will demonstrate how the pros train.  The
players will also be instructed on the numerous skill-building drills that can be performed off the
ice to enhance performance on the ice.  Also, an introduction to sports nutrition and what/how
hockey players should eat for optimal performance and focus will be covered.

Full equipment is mandatory for ALL on ice activities.  A water bottle and comfortable
running shoes are mandatory for ALL off ice activities.
