Private Lessons (1 – 1) or Semi-Private (2 – 5 players)
  • Highly individualized attention focusing on power skating and stick skills.
  • Power Skating – breaks down the forwards and backwards stride, crossovers, quick
    starts, and tight turns.  Objective is to increase speed, power, balance, coordination,
    and agility with proper body alignment and technique.
  • Stick Skills – breaks down the wrist shot, backhand, slap shot, flip-shot, one-timer,
    stick handling, evasive moves, passing options, and body checking.
  • “Hockey specific” conditioning – stamina and endurance.
  • Instilling a work ethic and confidence while playing the game for the right reasons.

Team Practices
  • Advanced power-skating focusing on stride technique, crossovers, edges, coordination,
    agility, and balance.
  • Speed training focusing on quicker, powerful, and more explosive strides.
  • Stick skills – evasive moves, protecting the puck, stick on stick, and stick lanes.
  • Passing skills – forehand, backhand, touch pass, bridge or sauce pass.
  • Shooting – forehand, backhand, slap shot, one-timer, rebounds, shooters illusion,
    breakaway moves, and proper technique – quicker, harder, more accurate.
  • Game situations – 1 on 1’s, 2 on 1’s, 2 on 2’s, 3 on 2’s, cycling, playing in confined
    spaces, supporting the puck, getting open, creating space, transition.
  • Sense – playing without the puck, knowing your options, offensive / defensive
    awareness, mental preparation.

Off-Ice Conditioning (Individual and Teams)
  • “Hockey specific” off ice training with a purpose.
  • Core training for puck protection and better balance.
  • Plyometric training for explosive power and more speed on the ice.
  • Muscular strength and endurance training for increased stamina and playing time ability
  • Sprint training for the recruitment of increased fast-twitch muscle fibers that lead to
    quicker starts, faster bursts of speed, and better mobility.
  • Flexibility concepts that promote better range of motion and prevent injury.
  • Increased awareness on physical conditioning for life-long wellness on and off the ice.

Sports Nutrition and Customized Programs
  • Dietary tips and guidelines for optimal performance on and off the ice.
  • Individual off-ice strength and conditioning programs.
